French Music Class for Toddlers & Young Children
Our most recent offering at Kindermusik is actually in Spanish, although we are hoping to offer French very soon! We are doing a Bilingual Birdies curriculum, where we use music and movement to teach the basics of foreign language to young children!

For the past two summers, I have been leading a music class for young children (designed for 2-4 year olds but open as family style to all children through age 6 with a parent), through the Bloomington-Normal Music Connections Kindermusik program. This is a wonderful program that I've participated in with my own kids for years, and I am very excited to be able to share my love of French and music with families in our community! To learn more and to register, please visit the Music Connections website.
(Last summer, I also taught Splash into Spanish, a Kindermusik curriculum with our own little twist that added an emphasis on Spanish!)

Disclaimer: I do want to make it clear that, while I have been given unconditional support from the local Music Connections branch in Bloomington-Normal, my French summer camps are not officially Kindermusik camps. Kindermusik is used as a tool in other countries to help teach English as a foreign language, and their materials are all in English. I have used what was available to me from Kindermusik and other sources to develop my own lesson plans and take-home materials. That being said, exposure to music in general and Kindermusik in particular is invaluable for the development of young children, in any language! I have been so grateful for this opportunity as a parent and as a teacher!
