French for Kids
I love teaching French to anyone at any age, but there's a certain special place in my heart for teaching French to children. Children are little sponges who are ready to soak up all of the knowledge we have to give them. The younger the child, the more effortless it is for him or her to pick up on a second (or third) language.
This journey began for me just before my son was born. My husband and I decided we were going to raise any children we had to be trilingual, or in the very least to have an understanding and respect for the three dominant languages in our home. Since the day our son was born (or let's be honest... several months before that when I was talking to my growing belly!), I have spoken French to him, my husband has spoken Spanish, and the rest of the people in our local lives have spoken English. When our daughter was born, it just energized us to continue with even more heart than ever before.
In addition to cultivating a love of French in the children in my own home, I try to reach as many children as I can in the community. In the pages listed below (and in the drop-down menu above), you will find more information about each of them.
